Dal Tadka

Dal is one of the staple dishes in Indian cuisine. Dal and rice is an excellent combination and can be made quickly for lunch or dinner. It is delicious and healthy and one of my favorites.

Dal tadka is basically cooked lentils which are tempered with oil fried spices.

Dal is an good source of protein. You can reduce the amount of oil used in this recipe and still have the dal tasting very good.
